You’ve wanted to play for years

What’s stopping you?

Maybe you’ve always been drawn to the drums. Maybe you’ve spent years watching your favourite drummers, tapping along to songs or thinking about how good it would feel to play in a band.

But somehow, you’ve never quite got around to starting.

Perhaps you don’t know where to begin. Perhaps you’re worried you’ll struggle with the coordination. Or perhaps you’ve always assumed learning an instrument is something you should have done when you were younger.

Here’s the thing: you don’t need to have started as a child. You don’t need to be naturally musical. And you don’t need to figure everything out on your own.

You just need a starting point, a structured approach and someone who can help you make progress.

That’s what the 12-Week Drum Transformation is designed to provide.

Twelve weeks. A New Skill.

A Goal Worth Working Towards.

Learning an instrument can feel overwhelming when you don’t know what to practise, what to focus on or whether you’re making progress.

This programme gives you a clear framework to work through, with personal tuition and resources to support you between lessons.

Over the course of 12 weeks, you’ll work towards:

  • Building your foundations — develop the essential techniques and coordination needed to play the drums.

  • Finding your groove — improve your timing, control and ability to play practical rhythms.

  • Practising with purpose — learn how to structure your practice so you know what to work on and why.

  • Developing musical confidence — start connecting the skills you’re learning to real music.

  • Playing music — work towards performing a complete song or suitable piece that reflects your progress.

Everyone learns at a different pace. Your programme will adapt to your experience, progress and goals, so you can revisit challenging concepts and move forward when you’re ready.

The aim isn’t simply to complete 12 lessons.

It’s to build skills you can continue developing long after the programme ends.

Everything you need to get started

12 private, one-to-one drum lessons

Twelve weekly, one-hour sessions with a working professional drummer. Each lesson is tailored to your progress, giving you personal guidance, feedback and a clear focus for the week ahead.

Your own professional practice workbook

A dedicated, printed workbook to guide your learning. Use it to follow exercises, understand key concepts, record your progress and organise your practice between lessons.

Your beginner’s essentials

You’ll receive a pair of drumsticks and a drum key to help you get started.

A musical goal to work towards

As you progress, you’ll work towards playing a complete song or suitable piece of music. The aim is to put your developing skills into practice and give you something tangible to work towards.

Full programme details and included materials will be confirmed before bookings open.

How the programme works

01 — Start with where you are

We’ll establish your current experience, musical interests and goals. If you’re a complete beginner, that’s absolutely fine. The programme is designed to give you a starting point.

02 — Build your foundations

Across your lessons, we’ll develop the core skills you need to play the drums, breaking concepts down into manageable steps and adapting the material to your progress.

03 — Practise between lessons

You’ll use your workbook and supporting resources to reinforce what you’ve learned. You’ll have a clear idea of what to practise and how it fits into your development.

04 — Put your skills into practice

As your confidence grows, we’ll work towards applying your skills to a complete piece of music, bringing the different elements of your learning together.

The programme follows a structured curriculum, but your learning won’t be forced into a rigid, one-size-fits-all timetable. We’ll spend more time where you need it and move forward when you’re ready.

Learn with a pro drummer

I’m Connor, a professional drummer and drum teacher based in Brighton & Hove.

Alongside teaching, I work as a musician across live performance, touring and studio projects. My experience as a working drummer informs the way I teach: I want students to understand the fundamentals, develop good habits and learn how to apply their skills to actual music.

I also know that getting started with an instrument can feel daunting. My approach is to make learning clear, practical and enjoyable, without expecting you to know anything before you walk through the door.

The 12-Week Drum Transformation brings that approach into a structured programme, giving adult beginners a clear way to start learning and see how far they can progress.

That’s a complete 12-week learning experience, with personal tuition and resources to support you outside the studio.

Your 12-week investment

Is this programme right for you?

I’ve never played drums before. Can I join?

Yes. The programme is being designed for adult beginners, including people who have never sat behind a drum kit.

Am I too old to start learning?

No. You don’t need to have started as a child. The programme is designed around your goals, your starting point and the time you can put into practising.

Do I need my own drum kit?

You don’t need to own a kit to register your interest. Having a kit, whether it’s your’s or at a rehearsal studio will help you get the most out of the programme.

How much time will I need outside lessons?

You’ll get more from the programme if you practise between sessions. The aim is to help you establish a manageable, consistent routine around your existing commitments. No more than 3 hours per week is necessary.

What if I progress more slowly than expected?

The curriculum is designed to adapt to your progress. We’ll revisit concepts when needed and focus on building solid foundations rather than rushing through material.

Am I committing to anything by registering?

No. Registering your interest is free and doesn’t commit you to buying the programme. It simply lets you receive further information and decide whether you’d like to take part when bookings open.

Make 2027 the year you finally start.

You don’t need to know how to play before you begin. You don’t need to have everything figured out. You just need to be ready to give it a go.

If learning drums is something you’ve been thinking about for years, this could be the place to start.
