For over a decade Connor has played for numerous bands and artists (Coco & The Lost, Winter Gardens, Lunar June) giving him the chance to play, and tour all over the UK and Europe, including major festivals such as Y NOT and the Isle of Wight, venues such as Camden Roundhouse, Electric Brixton, KOKO and O2 Ritz Manchester, alongside multiple theatre events including the musical ‘9 To 5”.

Committed to continuous growth, Connor studies with renowned UK drummer & educator Pat Garvey, whose alumni include high-profile drummers such as Ben Thompson (Two Door Cinema Club), Deborah Knox-Hewson (Charlie XCX), Ben Thomas (Rag ‘n’ Bone Man), Rufus Taylor (The Darkness) amongst many others. 

Connor educates other drummers by offering online drum lessons for beginners and intermediates ages 8+ at his studio next to Hove Lagoon.

Lessons can include:

  • Learning your favourite songs

  • Exploring a wide range of genres

  • Developing musicality and feel

  • Various hand & foot techniques

  • Reading drum notation

  • Rudimental studies & much more!

Each lesson will be personalised to the individual student and all lesson material, goals and feedback will be provided weekly.

I think Connor is a good teacher because he lets me play to most of the songs I want to learn and he makes learning drumming to them so fun! Also when Connor is not teaching me a song, he is patient when I don’t get the beat the first time and is quite friendly about it. He prints and tries to draw sheets for me to drum to so I don’t forget how to play the songs and/or beats and so I can practice them at home. It is quite fun when Connor lets me select some things that I learn and demonstrates most of the things he teaches me. I would recommend him to you for all of those reasons.

I started playing drums with Connor in November 2021. I’d never really played before and although I’ve only had a few lessons I already feel like I’ve made a lot of progress. He makes the lessons fun and always builds me up to playing along with a song at the end which always feels very rewarding, I’d highly recommend Connor.
